Tanning
A tanning treatment uses products to temporarily change the colour of your skin. At The Centre, we use Fake Bake tanning products. Fake Bake originated in the United States and is fast becoming a popular choice of tanning product due to its streak free, natural looking finish. Fake Bake is a popular choice of tan amongst celebrities including the ‘Footballers Wives’ who attended the German World Cup.
You can chose between a spray tan whereby you stand in a spray booth and the tan is sprayed using an air compressor, directly onto your skin. Either one or two coats is applied depending on the depth of colour you require.
The other method of applying the tan is by hand using a cream based product. The body is exfoliated using Fake Bake Passion Fruit Body Polish. This is then mitted off with warm water. The tan is then applied to the skin by hand where it is massaged in to give a natural, streak free tan.
Both methods of tanning provide fantastic results. The cream tan lasts slightly longer than the spray tan. The spray tan gives instant results. With both tanning methods, the tan is left on for a minimum of 6-8 hours and then you shower off any surplus tan that has not been absorbed by the skin.
To make the most of your tan it is important to follow the pre advise and after care advice as given to you by the therapist. A small leaflet is available from The Centre detailing in more depth what you should and should not do when having a fake tan. Please phone for a leaflet or call into The Centre and pick one up.
